Today morning after breakfast Your own private guide will meet you in the Hotel lobby & explain the traditions of the local culture. Afterwards your City tour begins. Witness history of colonial Madras from British East India Company and explore an architectural diversity of traditional ‘Dravidian’ styles with European influences. Tour begins with Heritage Walk at India’s first British fortress The Fort St. Geroge built in 17th century and a pristine headquarters of state government. Capture real life of Madras in bustling bazaars of George Town. Witness ‘Dravidian’ style colourful architecture of 7th century Kapaleeshwarar Temple built by ‘Pallava Dynasty’. Later you we will visit the Government Museum. For sunset visit Chennai’s Marina Beach to interact with locals playing Cricket and selling catch of the day.

Today morning after breakfast / check out you will be driven to Mahabalipuram (60 kms, 90 minutes). Enroute visiting Tiru Parameshwara Vinnagaram Temple in Kanchipuram. Upon arrival at Mahabalipuram check in at your hotel.

Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.
Today morning after breakfast City tour begins. Welcome to ‘Cote d’Azur’ of India aka the Indo-French city of Pondicherry. Influenced by 1674s French East India Company, we explore an existing French Colony with a unique heritage, architecture and lifestyle. Enjoy Heritage Walk in colonial streets of Old Pondicherry Town to discover Indo-French heritage evident all around, from mustard-coloured houses, chic shops to quaint boulevards. Witness Green Muslim Quarter, Ville Noir aka Tamil and French living Quarters, Manakula Koil (Vinayagar Temple) & Pondicherry Bronze Museum.
Later visit Auroville, an experimental community founded in 1968 by the spiritual leader Mirra Alfassa as a town where people from all over the world could live in harmony. The philosophy of Auroville is based on the teachings of Sri Aurobindo, a poet, philosopher, visionary and guru, who left his body in 1950. Later return back to your hotel.
Today morning after breakfast/ checkout you will be driven to Thanjavur (Tanjore) (190kms) enroute visit Thillai Nataraja Temple at Chidambaram and Airavatesvara Temple at Darasuram.

We cover 17th century Tirumalai Nayak Palace built by ‘Nayaka Dynasty’ that ruled Madurai, and showcases indigenous to Islamic architecture with masterpiece of giant pillars. inhabited cities that traded with ancient ‘Roman Empire’. What Taj Mahal is to North, The 6th Century BC built Meenakshi Temple is to South India and we explore this hidden masterpiece, which is an abode of triple-breasted Hindu goddess ‘Meenakshi’. Later we take you to local market. After tour return to hotel.
In evening head out for Pooja ceremony at Meenakshi temple & participate in Sacred Aarti Ceremony This magnificent temple stands over 170ft tall and nominated for the new 7 wonders of world. Later we return to Hotel.
Madurai is an ancient city located on the banks of ‘River Vaigai’, Madurai is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world that majorly traded with ancient Rome. Chennai may be the capital of Tamil Nadu, but Madurai claims its soul! Madurai is energetic, having a skyline dominated with 14 colourful gateway towers of its infamous Meenakshi Temple covered in intricate Dravidian Style paintings and carvings of mythical creatures and Hindu Gods & Goddesses. When visiting in April month make sure to capture the local Temple festival of Chithirai dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi.
