Day 01 Arrive Bagdogra Airport – Darjeeling (70 kms, 3 Hrs drive approx.)

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport you will be met / assisted and then driven to Darjeeling.

On arrival check in at your Hotel.

Darjeeling – India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills has always been famous for its Tea Estates & Monastries. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks

Enjoy iconic sunrise tour of Tiger Hill. It is from here that you will see the picturesque view of the sunrise across the Himalayas. The sight of the sunrise is just mesmerizing.

To watch the dawn light break over a spectacular 250km stretch of Himalayan horizon, including Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8501m) and Makalu (8475m) to the far west, rise early and take a jeep out to Tiger Hill (2590m), 11km south of Darjeeling, above Ghum. The skyline is dominated by Khangchendzonga (‘great five-peaked snow fortress’), India’s highest peak and the world’s third-highest. On either side of the main massif are Kabru (7338m), Jannu (7710m) and Pandim (6691m), all serious peaks in their own right.

Afterwards we return to Hotel for Breakfast and rest. Later we journey on UNESCO heritage Toy Train to Ghoom by Darjeeling Himalayan Railways, renowned as the highest rail stations in the world.

The journey during which the small train will pass through the town of Darjeeling and takes a loop in the War Memorial at Batasia Loop. It then proceeds further to reach Ghoom (2258mts) the highest railway station in India. Once there you can visit the Railway museum that is situated in the station itself.

Depart Darjeeling (ETD: 0925 hrs by 52594 Joyride) / Arrive Ghoom (ETA: 1015 hrs)

Visit Ghoom then drive back to Darjeeling.

Later we begin city tour as we visit 7000ft situated Padmaja Zoological park renowned as the largest high altitude zoo in India. Later we visit Darjeeling Mountaineering institute and a Tibetan Self-Help Refugee Centre.

Return to your hotel & relax.

After Breakfast / check out we leave for a scenic drive to Gangtok, the capital of Indian state of Sikkim in North-East of India. Enroute we will visit Namgyal Institute of Tibetology & Do Drul Chorten.

After visit continue drive to Gangtok and upon arrival you will checkin at your hotel.

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Afternoon you will be taken for visit to Handicraft Centre and walk around Gangtok.

Today morning after breakfast, we take you to tour of Gangtok visiting Rumtek Monastery later visit Enchey monastery, Institute of Tibetology and Gangtok Town. Later return to your hotel and relax.

Gangtok rose to prominence as a popular Buddhist pilgrimage site after the construction of the Enchey Monastery in 1840. In 1894, the ruling Sikkimese Chogyal, Thutob Namgyal, transferred the capital to Gangtok. In the early 20th century, Gangtok became a major stopover on the trade route between Lhasa in Tibet and cities such as Kolkata. After India won its independence from the British Empire in 1947, Sikkim chose to remain an independent monarchy, with Gangtok as its capital. After Sikkim’s merger with India in 1975, Gangtok continued as the state capital.

Return to your hotel & relax.

After breakfast we drive to Kalimpong Hill Station in West Bengal in and check in at your hotel.

Afternoon we begin sightseeing of Kalimpong, as we visit inside Buddhist monastery Zang Dhok Palri Phodang located atop the Durpin Hill, Thongsa Monastery.

Kalimpong is an east Indian hill town in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. Perched on a ridge above the Teesta River, it’s home to colonial-era buildings like MacFarlane Memorial Church, named after a Scottish missionary. South, the hilltop Durpin Monastery, or Zang Dhok Palri Phodang, contains sacred Buddhist scriptures. Deolo Park has landscaped gardens and offers views of the town and surrounding hills
