A cosmopolitan city now called ‘Bengaluru’ infamous as India’s most progressive and developed IT cities. It offers year-round
pleasant climate and a growing drinking, dining and shopping scene. Though there are no world-class sights, you’ll find lovely parks and striking Victorian-era architecture. A bustling city today, Bangalore often reminisces about its days as a sleepy cantonment area of the British – tree lined avenues with quaint sounding names like Richmond Town and Victoria Layout hint that the city does get sentimental about its past.
Today morning at 0900 hrs you will begin your sightseeing tour of Bangalore from lobby of your hotel. You will be met by our guide and drive you to Nandi /Bull Temple with 50 steps to climb, built by Kempe Gowda the local Chieftan in the 16th century the founder of Bengaluru. After which proceed to Lal Bagh laid by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan with a large expanse of 240 acres of greenery having a good collection of rare tropical and subtropical pants and as well many centuries old trees. Later walked first to inside a beautiful colonial styled St Mark’s Cathedral that was consecrated by bishop of Calcutta in 1816. Next we visit Queens Park to see Queen Victoria Statue and father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi Statue. Continuing we walk towards a red colored colonial-era building of and visit inside. This 1877-built museum houses rare collection of ancient coins and artifacts dating back 5000Yr old Indus Valley Civilization.
Next we visit Cubbon Park that has famed Bangalore as the ‘Garden City of India’, Bull Temple. The park stretches over 300acres and houses various Government Buildings for you to explore (from outside). Here we witness a Dravidian style building Vidhana Soudha aka the seat of state legislature, and red stoned High Court built in a Graeco-roman architecture. Continuing your walk we pass across four decade old M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium home of team ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’. Next we visit MG Road named after initials of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi. Late evening you will return back to Hotel. Evening at leisure.
Today morning after Breakfast/Checkout at 0900 hrs you will be driven from Bangalore to Mysore (145 Kms, appx. 3 hrs drive). Upon arrival in Mysore you will be met and assisted and Check in at Hotel around 1230 hrs.
Mysore aka Mysuru is a mythological town. Legend has it that the town got its name from Mahishasura the Hindu mythological demon that got slayed by Goddess Chamundeswari, whose infamous 1000 meter hilltop temple watches through the entire city of Mysore and has hosted several sultans and dynasties including the great Tipu Sultan Warrior Clan to The British Empire.
In the afternoon we take you to tour of Mysore Palace followed by visit to Dev Raja Fruit & Vegetable Market in Mysore
Today morning after Breakfast/Checkout at 0900 hrs you will be driven from Mysore to Hassan (140 Kms, appx. 3 Hrs drive) enroute visiting Shravanbela Gola. On arrival check in to your Hotel.
In the afternoon we take you to the tour of The Belur and Halebid Temples – which are the most beautiful temples left of the Hoysala temple art. Both Belur and Halebid, which are only 16 kilometers apart from each other, were once the capital of the Hoysala empire. These temples have rich decorations with intricate and detailed carvings. They cover most of the interior and exterior temple walls. The Hoysalas used soapstone. A soft stone that is easy to carve in, but hardens over time. Later return to your hotel to relax & overnight .
Morning after breakfast you will be driven to Hassan to Hampi / Hospet (330 Kms, appx. 6 Hrs drive).
On arrival check in to your hotel & relax.
Hospet – a town in Karnataka, is famous for being the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi, a historic city with ancient temples, palaces, and monuments, and also for the Tungabhadra Dam Hampi – Hampi is often called a “lost city” or “city of ruins” because after being the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, it was sacked and abandoned in the 16th century, leaving behind impressive but decaying monuments that now stand as a testament to its rich past
Today Full day your will be taken for tour of Hampi visiting the Glorious past of Vijaynagar Empire.
The austere, grandiose site of Hampi was the last capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar. Its fabulously rich princes built Dravidian temples and palaces which won the admiration of travellers between the 14th and 16th centuries. Beyond its archaeological and historical significance, Hampi is a trove of spiritual sites that draw seekers, pilgrims, and curious minds alike. Here’s a look at the sacred landscapes of Hampi, unraveling the spiritual tapestry woven into its ancient stones and echoing through the corridors of time. Conquered by the Deccan Muslim confederacy in 1565, the city was pillaged over a period of six months before being abandoned. Return back to your hotel for relax & overnight .
Today morning after breakfast, we drive Hampi to Badami (150 Kms, appx. 3-4 Hrs drive) enroute visiting the Aihole & Pattadakal, on arrival check in to your hotel & relax.
Late afternoon we take you to the tour of Badami visiting the Cave Temples and beautiful Architectural sites.
Aihole – also referred to as Aivalli, Ahivolal or Aryapura, is a historic site of ancient and medieval era Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments in Karnataka dates from the sixth century through the twelfth century CE. Over 100 Aihole temples are Hindu, a few are Jain and one is Buddhist. These were built and coexisted in close proximity. The site is spread across about 5 square kilometres.
Pattadakal (Pattadakallu)- also called Raktapura, is a complex of 7th and 8th century CE Hindu and Jain temples in northern Karnataka, India. Located on the west bank of the Malaprabha River in Bagalkot district, this UNESCO World Heritage Site. UNESCO has described Pattadakal as “a harmonious blend of architectural forms from northern and southern India” and an illustration of “eclectic art” at its height.
Badami – Badami awaits you with its breathtaking rocky terrain, featuring rock-cut cave temples and red sandstone cliffs. The markets of Badami were once known for their free trade of gold and precious stones, making it a legendary business centre. The main attractions of Badami are its caves. There are four main caves. The first one, dedicated to Shiva, was excavated by the Chalukyas in 550 AD. The second one is dedicated to Vishnu. In this cave there are statues of Vishnu avatars like Varaha, the boar or Krishna. The third cave is also dedicated to Vishnu and the last one is a cave with Jain representations.
