On the first day of your Beach & Backwater Cycling Holiday in Kerala, you will be picked up from the Cochin International Airport and transferred to the hotel (by car) for overnight stay.
Kochi, or more familiarly, Cochin is a city of many parts. Around for a long, long time, Kochi played a pivotal role in the development of shipping and trade in the region. Kochi’s prime location on the west coast, its fine bay and protected harbour made it popular with seafarers and merchant ships who made frequent stops to stock up on spices, coffee and wood en-route to the rich markets of Europe and West Asia. And so down the ages, Kochi prospered as a busy port city and commercial centre.

Today morning get familiar to your choice of bicycle & After fitting out your bikes start your bicycle tour exploring the heritage town with visit to Ancient churches, Jewish synagogue and Chinese fishing net as well as Dutch Palace. (approx. 7-10 Kms of cycle ride)

The Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest active synagogue located in Kochi Constructed in 1568, It is one of seven synagogues of the Malabar Yehudan people or Cochin Jewish community in the Kingdom of Cochin. Today’s ride will take you along roads that have the fishing villages and coconut plantations on one side and the sea on the other. On arrival check in to your hotel & Relax. Marari Beach is neat and well-maintained beach, one can enjoy both sunrise and sunset views. It is peaceful and less crowded, providing an ideal spot to enjoy nature and take long walks. Marari Beach experiences warm and humid weather throughout the year. The beach’s proximity to other attractions like the backwaters of Alappuzha, the Lighthouse, & the International Coir Museum
After a relaxed breakfast, head to Alleppey, known for its serene backwaters. The route passes through country roads and small villages where people will busy in their routine works of livelihood catching fishes, travelling through narrow canals, working in fields, also watch coconut husk being processed and made into coir ropes and mats. On arrival check into your hotel & relax. (approx. 30 Kms of Cycle Ride)
In the evening take a walk through the paddy fields and meet the local people or take a ride to the nearby village market. After visits return to Hotel for Overnight Stay.
Today after breakfast take your bicycle enjoy moderate ride through beach & backwater toward your jetty point to board one of Kerala’s most luxurious forms of accommodation and transport, The Houseboat. for a cruising on serene backwaters. The Kerala backwaters are a network of brackish lagoons and canals lying parallel to the Arabian Sea of the Malabar coast of Kerala state in south-western India. (approx. 30 Kms of Cycle Ride)
On arrival check into your Houseboat.

One night cruise on the backwaters of the Alappuzha is one of the most popular cruises offered. A round trip, in which you board the boat at Alappuzha and disembark at Alappuzha after having spent the night in the tranquillity of the Backwaters. The cruise takes you through the clear waters of the prominent Punnamada Lake – the venue of the legendary Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race. You can visit the 400-year-old Champakkulam church, one of the 7 churches established by St. Thomas. The Chavara Bhavan, located 6 km from Alleppey, is another interesting place that one can’t afford to miss. The ancestral home of the Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the Chavara Bhavan houses the legendary 250-year-old beacon of light – preserved intact in its original and primitive form.
Checkout after breakfast from your houseboat and Cycle towards the next destination Kumarakom. (approx. 40 Kms of Cycle Ride) Check into your hotel, relax for while.
Here you have option to visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary & nearby local Church & Temples or relax at your hotel .
