Day 01 Arrival Bangalore

Upon arrival at Bangalore Airport, our team will be holding your name signage, Welcomed by “Adventure World” in the arrival hall.

You will be met and transferred to your Hotel for Check-in with welcome briefing.

Our travel manager will then outline your wonderful itinerary ahead.

A cosmopolitan city now called ‘Bengaluru’ infamous as India’s most progressive and developed IT cities. It offers year-round pleasant climate and a growing drinking, dining and shopping scene. Though there are no world-class sights, you’ll find lovely parks and striking Victorian-era architecture. A bustling city today, Bangalore often reminisces about its days as a sleepy cantonment area of the British – tree lined avenues with quaint sounding names like Richmond Town and Victoria Layout hint that the city does get sentimental about its past.

Today morning at 0900 hrs you will begin your sightseeing tour of Bangalore from lobby of your hotel. You will be met by our guide and drive you to Nandi /Bull Temple with 50 steps to climb, built by Kempe Gowda the local Chieftan in the 16th century the founder of Bengaluru. After which proceed to Lal Bagh laid by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan with a large expanse of 240 acres of greenery having a good collection of rare tropical and subtropical pants and as well many centuries old trees. Later walked first to inside a beautiful colonial styled St Mark’s Cathedral that was consecrated by bishop of Calcutta in 1816. Next we visit Queens Park to see Queen Victoria Statue and father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi Statue. Continuing we walk towards a red colored colonial-era building of and visit inside. This 1877-built museum houses rare collection of ancient coins and artifacts dating back 5000Yr old Indus Valley Civilization.

Next we visit Cubbon Park that has famed Bangalore as the ‘Garden City of India’, Bull Temple. The park stretches over 300acres and houses various Government Buildings for you to explore (from outside). Here we witness a Dravidian style building Vidhana Soudha aka the seat of state legislature, and red stoned High Court built in a Graeco-roman architecture. Continuing your walk we pass across four decade old M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium home of team ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’. Next we visit MG Road named after initials of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi. Late evening you will return back to Hotel. Evening at leisure.

Today morning after Breakfast/Checkout at 0900 hrs you will be driven from Bangalore to Mysore (145 Kms, appx. 3 hrs drive). Upon arrival in Mysore you will be met and assisted and Check in at Hotel around 1230 hrs.

Mysore aka Mysuru is a mythological town. Legend has it that the town got its name from Mahishasura the Hindu mythological demon that got slayed by Goddess Chamundeswari, whose infamous 1000 meter hilltop temple watches through the entire city of Mysore and has hosted several sultans and dynasties including the great Tipu Sultan Warrior Clan to The British Empire.

Today morning after breakfast at 0845 hrs you will begin our sightseeing tour of heritage city of Mysore. We visit inside Mysore Palace – the official residence of ‘Royal Family of Mysore’ who ruled the princely state 1399 to 1950. The palace is an Indo-Saracenic masterpiece, having blends of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles. Inside we explore its Museum housing some of world oldest artifacts and an intriguing collection of 700- plus ancient weapons. Next, we take you to Chamundi Hill at a height of over 1000mtr and visit inside sacred Chamundeswari Temple dedicated to Hindu ‘Goddess Durga’ aka the great divine mother, and a 350 year old Bull Temple of ‘Nandi’ that serves as the vehicle of Lord Shiva – the creator and lord of universe. Once uphill we also enjoy panoramic sunset views of the city.

Today morning after tea or coffee and biscuits, Jeep / Canter will be ready to begin your 1 x Morning Jeep Safari (at 0530 hrs) for sunrise into the Nagarhole National Park (0530-0830 Hrs). Watch wild animals in their natural habitat and refresh yourself in the wide variety of flora and fauna. Nagarhole has always been the place in India for leopard sightings and the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve reports a particularly higher density of melanistic leopards. Nagarhole is undoubtedly the best place to find the black panther!

After safari we will return back to your Resort to relax.

Today morning after Breakfast/Checkout at 0930 hrs when you will be driven from Kabini to Ooty (125 Kms, approx. 3.5 hrs drive) located in the Nilgiri Hills of Western Ghats. Often called as ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Ooty is a blend of Indian bustle and ancient temples with natural flora and charming British Raj Era houses. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative for Check-in at Hotel.

Ooty is a Hill Station located in the Nilgiri Hills of Western Ghats. The region remain unknown to various dynasties, until 1800’s when the British Empire ventured into the riches of the regions and made Ooty into their very own summer retreat. Today the regal charm still exists everywhere in Ooty as it offers a unique blend of natural flora and charming British Raj Era houses. Pronounced as the Queen of Hill Stations of India, its terrain offers nations finest Coffee Bean and Aromatic Tea Plantations.

After breakfast at 0800 hrs you will be taken for Morning Scenic Tour of Ooty visiting the 1848 built Botanical Garden famed as a living gallery of natural flora of the Nilgiris housing some of the oldest fossils some dating back to 20 million years. Next, we take you on scenic Lake Boatride on Pykara Lake, and if time permits, we continue spotting some more hidden Lakes of Ooty. Later we visit a local café Willy’s Coffee Pub to enjoy local Coffee/Masala Tea & Snacks. (Since your Ooty tour will be from 0800 – 1130 hrs, we suggest that you checkout & take your bags alongwith you in the vehicle.)

Thereafter Get ready for the highlight of your trip as we transfer you to Ooty Udhagamandalam Train Station to reach by 1200 hrs noon and board your heritage steam toy train of Nilgiri Mountain Railway to Coonoor Hill Station famed for the production of ‘Nilgiri Tea’.

The track runs 46 km and passes thru 250 bridges surrounding forested hills and tea plantations. This heritage journey started in early 1900s during the British Raj Era, and later gained popularity as a film spot from 1984 popular British film ‘A Passage to India’ by David Lean and today amongst several Bollywood films.

Located high in the Cardamom Hills, Munnar was developed to cultivate spices and varieties of tea plants during the British Raj Era. The entire area is covered with thick forests and neatly groomed tea estates. There are planter’s bungalows and grand old churches from the Raj era in Munnar.

This morning after breakfast at 0930 hrs we take you for a Tea Trail to the family owned Tea Plantations in the region. Learn about growing tea and visit a tea factory to see how tealeaves are classified, processed and packaged. We also visit the iconic Tata Tea Factory & Museum. Enjoy tasting the various spices, herbs to teas that are regional to the area. The fragrance is in the air! Some of the main spices cultivated here are ginger, garlic, cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon, coffee, tea, clove and nutmeg.

Next, we take you for a Soft-Trek inside the infamous Eravikulam National Park of Kerala. Amongst other rare flora and fauna found here, encounter the Nilgiri Tahrs a species of mountain goats exclusive to the region. Exotic Bird Sighting is popular in this region also. On your visit to the different Tea Gardens, Estates and Parks ready your cameras and capture boisterous rainbow families to spread their wings and pose for you!

After breakfast & checkout at 0930 hrs our scenic drive takes you to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (110 Kms, approx. 4 hrs drive). Upon arrival you will be checked-in to your eco-friendly Boutique Resort resembling a traditonal village using thatched built from elephant grass.

South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary, Periyar, also called Thekkady, encompasses 777 sq km and a 26-sq-km artificial lake created by the British in 1895. The vast region is home to bison, sambar, wild boar, langur, 900 to 1000 elephants and 35 to 40 hard-to-spot tigers. It’s firmly established on both the Indian and foreigner tourist trails and has a typical boat cruise that doesn’t scream ‘wildlife experience’, but if you dig deeper and do a trek led by a tribal villager, the hills and jungle scenery make for a rewarding visit. Bring warm and waterproof clothing!

Today early morning at 0645 hrs, guide will accompany you to board a shared Boat-Ride inside Periyar National Park to sight some of the rare flora and fauna of South India. After Breakfast/Checkout when you will be picked up from your hotel at 1130 hrs & driven to the pearl on Vembanad Lake of South India – Kumarakom, (40 Kms, approx. 1 hr drive). and Check in at your unique off the beaten retreat that offers an interplay of coconut groves and backwater canals, with old wooden Keralan homes transplanted, preserved and cherished.

Kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, southern India. It’s laced with canals, where houseboats ply the waters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks. Nearby, the Bay Island Driftwood Museum displays wooden sculptures.

After check in you are free at leisure. or a leisurely walk through the resort for while watching the activities local mat making/pottery/ and enjoy a cup of local tea preparing in the country boat or some other activities in and around.

And then through a shimmering exotic maze of interlinked canals and rivers and lakes bordered by vibrant and lush green foliage, palms and paddy fields. Lunch is served on board. Early Morning we continue sailing to Monkombu region and after Breakfast we disembark by 0900 hrs at spice routes Jetty point, ready to go on with onward journey to Kochi, already nostalgic about spectacular and tranquil experience of Backwaters of Alleppey

After checkout at 0900 hrs, our scenic drive from Alleppey Jetty point takes you to Kochi (52 Kms, approx. 120 minutes drive). Upon arrival you will check-in at 1230 hrs your hotel.

Later at 1400 hrs Kochi City tour begins. Heritage Walk in old city called Fort Kochi renowned for a history drawing explorers to its shores for over 600 years. Discover traditional houses at vibrant Princes Street having a mix of British, Portuguese, and Dutch architecture. Here you can witness a perfect blend of new and old colonial era, as the street is home to British, Portuguese, and Dutch era architecture visible everywhere from local residences, street bazaar to cafés. We reach Old Kochi Beach to witness demonstration by local fisherman on 14th century technique of giant Chinese Fishing Nets installed by traders of Mongul Empire. We continue tour and visit inside India’s oldest European churches built by Portuguese Friars, The St Francis Church where rests the tomb of Vasco da Gama, and whitewashed Santa Cruz Basilica dating back to the 1500’s. Next we drive or hop-on a Local Tuk-Tuk Ride to Mattancherry, a hub for spice trading and historic sites. Inside 16th century Portuguese Dutch Palace featuring preserved murals from Hindu and South Indian epics. Explore the infamous Jew Town of Kochi where resides a 400 year-old Pardesi Jewish Synagogue. From outside Afterwards we explore Street Markets including Spice Walk Tour, as the area has been a trader’s hub since 14th century pre-Islamic era. These markets are renowned for trading between Europeans and Arabs since the olden times, and today home to traditional spices, oils and classic arts-craft.

Later in the evening at 1815 hrs we take you to a vintage wood-lined theatre for a traditional Kathakali Live Dances of Kerala, completed with ancient story telling using intimate hand-eye coordination. Before the show begins, we take you backstage to witness the Dancers authentic make-up ceremony and routine.
